Another Book Fair 2023

Most people love to shop and in a library it is cool to shop for books. We are hosting another Scholastic Book Fair just around the corner from March 3rd - March 9th.  On Friday students were able to preview the book fair video and were excited by many of the new titles.

It's hard to believe that March is so close and that Spring Break is ahead.  That means our school year is winding down which strange. It's at this time that feel like pedaling backwards a bit, slowing the process down because their is so much to do and because the 6th graders will leave us and not come back. It's the very definition of bittersweet.

Fall 2020

Are you ready to return to school after a five-month break?  I hope you all made great use of your time off with equal parts relaxing, reading, and being active.  This year is going to be challenging as we need to wear masks to keep germs at bay, lots of handwashing, and keeping our distance even from friends. We won't be walking around from class to class, we will have to live without the library, music room, or art room for a little while this Fall.

I've read a ton of books this summer and have lots of recommendations for everyone. Right now I'm reading Prairie Lotus by Linda Sue Park. It is historical fiction and I'm excited to read it and learn more about the 1800s.

Here is a great video about why wearing a mask is important.

Let's work together to have the best year ever. We can control our attitude about all this year will be about.

Back-to-School!

There was excitement on Hansen's playground this morning as everyone gathered outside to await the first day!  Luckily Mrs. Pease had a new selfie stick she put to great use.

Off to a fantastic year!

Haiku poetry, Chatterpix and Mr. Wagner's class.

Thank you to Mr. Wagner's class for sharing their recent poetry project.  It is wonderful when students get to try new online tools with something timeless like haiku.  Enjoy!
